Viceroy Riviera Maya

Mayakoba, Mexico
Riviera Maya will soon have its own five-star resort. Viceroy Riviera Maya near Playa del Carmen in Mexico's Yucatán Peninsula will be an ultra-luxurious condo hotel and residential community.

Rich with history and located amidst white, sandy beaches this scenic peninsula is graced with four seasons of warmth.

Riviera Maya is stepping up to the forefront of popular resorts. In fact, CNN named it as one of the "Top five Destinations for 2006." Now Viceroy Resorts and Residences brings a new level to the Yucatán for a never-before-seen luxury real estate opportunity.

When completed, this impressive residential development will feature 142 new beachfront, lagoon and golf course condo hotel units. They will be built as one- and two-story villas nestled along beaches, landscaped waterways and one of Greg Norman's championship golf courses.

The resort will have a private beach club offering Infinity-edge swimming pools, whirlpools, restaurant and lounge area, cabanas, and an activity center. Other exclusive amenities and services will include:

  • Full-service spa facility
  • Fully-equipped fitness center
  • Gourmet and casual dining options
  • Tennis courts
  • Concierge services
  • Aquatic sports and recreation
  • On-site meeting facilities
  • Kids' club

Owners and visitors alike will want to try out Greg Norman's championship 7,000-yard golf course. The fairways hug the natural landscape and wind their way from tee to green along mangrove jungles and impressive stretches of the Caribbean Sea's blue waters.

The residences of Viceroy Riviera Maya will feature first-class amenities including state-of-the-art electronics and technology, plasma TVs, top-of-the-line appliances, owner's lock-off closet and washer/dryer.

Personalized services such as a chef-for-hire, babysitter, personal shopping, dry cleaning and laundry services will be available through the hotel's property management service.

Just outside the perimeter of Viceroy and Mayakoba is the Yucatan Peninsula and its cultural and historical attractions, including ancient Mayan ruins, a national park, botanical gardens and eco-tourism attractions.

The town of Playa del Carmen is just a five-mile drive away. Its popular Fifth Ave. esplanade is open only to pedestrians and features many eclectic shops, boutiques, dining options and clubs.

Mayakoba is also easily accessed by airplane. It's between two and four hours from many U.S. cities including Dallas, Chicago, Atlanta, Miami, Cleveland, Detroit, and Washington D.C.

The Viceroy Riviera Maya development team is lead by Los Angeles-based Kor Hotel Group, known for its award-winning hotel properties in destination locations. Also a development partner in the development is Grupo OHL, Spain, one of the largest construction and service groups in the world with over 11,000 employees worldwide and a 90-year history of success.

Construction has already begun on Viceroy Riviera and is expected to last until summer 2008. Prices range from $862,200 to $2,475,000.
